On Thursday 11 March, Heeley Development Trust, Heeley Asian Women’s Group and Anns Grove School have organised another community meal at the Institute on Gleadless Road at 12.30. This meal will primarily be a planning event for a project which has been funded by Community Development Foundation, called Variety is the Spice of Life.
The project is a response to the increasing diversity of Heeley and is about understanding different cultures and traditions. We will be organising events for all the community themed around the different cultures and traditions and will be having a final celebratory event called “Variety is the Spice of Life” with food, dance, displays and entertainment which will celebrate our variety but also our common desires for a friendly, safe and prosperous cohesive community.
