There are some great events taking place during this years Bike Week. Have a look below to see details of all the events taking place including those in Heeley Millennium Park and Meersbrook Park,

Sheffield Bike Festival – Sat 19 June (12noon – 6pm) – Devonshire Green.  An inspirational celebration of cycling in Sheffield, with exciting activities for all the family – seasoned cyclists or beginners.

 Heeley Wheelie Festival – Sat 19 June (12noon onwards) – Heeley Millennium Park. Cycling fun including North Shore events plus Cycle Sheffield information stall (

 Family Ride to Forge Dam – Sun 20 June (10am) – Barkers Pool. 10 mile ride also picking up at Devonshire Green and at the Rustlings Road entrance to Bingham Park. From CTC and Cycle Sheffield (

 Cycle to Glossop – Sun 20 June (9am) – Hillsborough Park. Hard 70 mile cycle ride from CTC (0114 283 1412)

 Cyclists’ Breakfast and Dr Bike – Tues 22 June (7.30am – 9.30am) – Town Hall front. Free bacon butties, veggie options and more for cyclists and free Pedal Ready cycle check / minor repairs (8am – 2pm). Cycle Sheffield information stall until 5pm.

 Routes Round Town ‘Cycle Chic’ Ride – Tues 22 June (6pm – 8pm) – Barkers Pool (0114 221 7049)

 Disability Bikes – Sat 26 June (10am- 1pm) – Hillsborough Park. Try specially made bicycles.

MPUT Sports Day – Sun 27 June – Meersbrook Park. Cycling activities include BMX and Obstacle Course.

 Women’s Ride and Picnic – Sunday 6 June (9.30am) – Barkers Pool to Oughtibridge and the Trans Pennine Trail. Easy paced ride on cycle tracks and quiet roads in friendly group (0114 272 1814)

 Trans Pedalling (Women Only) – Sun 13 June (9.30am) – Langsett House Barn Picnic Area just off A616 café. Gentle 10 mile Rangers ride including Trans Pennine Trail, quiet roads and grassy bridleways. (0114 268 6196)

Hound of the bicycle – Wed 30 June (11am) – Porter Clough Car Park, Fulwood Lane. 6 mile off-road ride across Houndkirk Moor to Fox House. (0114 268 6196)

 A Burnout from the Meadows – Wed 30 June (10am) – Blackburn Meadow’s Nature Reserve, Steel Street. 10 mile ride along the canal towpath to Victoria Quays. 

Work with disabilities during Bike Week includes the Special Olympics at the EIS and a ride to York.
