Forget Britain’s Got Talent and the X Factor…
Promising school pupils and pub singers will be competing in the Heeley’s Got Talent competition during the suburb’s annual festival next weekend.
A host of events take place from noon until 8pm on Saturday, June 19, organised by Heeley Development
Trust, Heeley City Farm, Heeley Parish Church, Anns Grove School and local community groups.
The opening parade, lead by Bongo Bert starts at 11.45am from Heeley Green and finishes on Millennium Park at midday.
Entertainment from Boomshanka’s Belly Dancers and Stepping out Dancers with Michelle Farrar, as well as Phoenix falconry displays and the Newfield Soul Band are some of the other highlights.
