On Sunday 8th August 2010, Meersbrook Park User Trust and Sheffield CND are holding a Peace Picnic in remembrance of the victims of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945.
The picnic starts at 2pm and all are welcome at this event in which a Mayors declaration for Peace will be signed. Bring a picnic and something to share. There’s music, poetry and paper crane making with the Lord Mayor. Come and float an original paper holder for a candle in the gardens water bowl. The Walled garden is in Brook Road, Meersbrook. Buses 53 from Pond Street and 20A, 20 25, 25a to Beeton Road/Chesterfield Road
