Computers for Beginners – Women Only
Starting: Monday 20th September 10 – 12 noon (12 weeks) Venue: HEELEY Development Trust, Thirlwell Road Cost: FREE!!! This course is for complete beginners, the terrified plus those with a bit of experience who may want to refresh their memories about the basics of IT – but please note, it’s women only this time. Men, please read on! |
Beginners I.T. – Everyone Welcome!
Starting: Monday 20th September 1-3pm (10 weeks) Venue: Heeley Development Trust, Thirlwell Road Cost: £5.00/£25.00 For people with little or no experience of using computers, this course will launch you into the brave new world of I.T. giving you the confidence to make it part of your everyday life. Give it a try; it’s much easier than you may think! |
Yoga – Women Only
Starting: Monday 20th September 1.30- 2.30pm) Venue: The Heeley Institute, Gleadless Road/Hartley St Cost: £1 a session (pay-as-you-go) A new course for September 2010, come along and find out the benefits of yoga for yourself. No previous experience needed. Give yourself some time out on a Monday afternoon and make new friends. |
Improve your English
Starting: Monday 20th September 12.30 – 2.30pm Venue: Heeley City Farm, Richards Road Cost: FREE Come along and brush up on your English and gain a nationally recognised qualification. This is a small and friendly group which aims to meet your particular needs, from spelling to reading and writing. Improve your job prospects; feel better about helping the children with homework or just for your own confidence. |
Sewing Classes from September – December
Starting: Mondays 10am –1pm and Tuesdays 9.30am – 12.30pm Venue: The Heeley Institute Cost: £1 a session Learn to cut and sew at these drop-in sessions. Full tutor support – bring your own patterns, material and ideas. Sewing machines provided. Great fun and another great way to save money! Informal and friendly group, ring first or just turn up! |
ESOL Entry Level 2 Speaking and Listening
Starting: Tuesday and Thursday mornings 9.30am – 11.30am 1st class Tuesday 21st September Venue: Heeley Parish Church, Gleadless Road Cost: FREE For continuing learners from last term plus any new learners who are assessed at this level. You need to attend both sessions each week. |

Women Only Computer Course? Women Only Yoga? What happened to equality? Are there any MEN Only courses, or isn’t that allowed.
