Newfield’s ‘BiG’ Success

A group of four Newfield students – Chloe Meadows, Alice Furniss, Ellie Wise and Megan Morgan – set up a company called ‘Mace’ and have scooped the ‘Best Written Report’ prize in an annual enterprise competition organised by Sheffield City Council. 

Fourteen teams from schools and colleges across Sheffield made it through to the finals from 340 teams that entered back in October.  Winning schools and colleges included: Norton College, Sheffield City College, Newfield and Meadowhead.  Claire Young, from the TV show ‘The Apprentice’, presented the awards at The Holiday Inn in Sheffield. Chloe Meadows, Alice Furniss, Ellie Wise and Megan Morgan

The BiG Challenge is part of Sheffield City Council’s enterprise programme aimed at increasing entrepreneurship across Sheffield.
