There was cause for celebration at Newfield School in August 2010 when the GCSE results were announced and the Y11 students achieved 44.3% 5 A*-C including English and Maths – up nearly 13% on last year. Results across the board were good, with one girl getting 19 A* or A grades, and 21% of students getting at least 3 A* or A grades! The atmosphere in school is just fantastic and staff, Governors and parents are thrilled with the students’ achievements.
The school now awaits the next Ofsted visit and is confident it will be taken out of Special Measures.
