This year’s Christmas Light Switch On starts up at Heeley Green from 5pm, Friday 3 December with music, a free raffle and an early appearance by Father Christmas followed by the Big Christmas Lights Switch On at 5.30pm. The lantern lit procession will then proceed down the hill to Heeley Parish Church, where there will be refreshments, a brass band, Christmas Carols and performances by local choirs.
School children from Anns Grove will be working with a local artist to make lanterns for the event. Please bring your own lanterns to light the way! The event is organised by HEAT (Heeley Entertainments and Activites Team). Funding is provided by the South Community Assembly. Many thanks to Heeley Development Trust and to the local shops for their kind donations of prizes.
