Shipshape: Your local health and wellbeing pop-in shop

Shipshape, located on London Road, is a one-stop health information and wellbeing shop and aims to bring local people closer to health services, activities and local groups in Sharrow, and further afield, by providing all this information in one place.

Two FREE new ShipShape courses are coming up in the New Year:

Diabetes Education Sessions for Women: want to be able to better manage your own diabetes?  Exercise, cook and eat, foot care, health checks, support with joining swimming sessions and much more!  Contact Tanyat Basharat at ShipShape.  Place: Sharrow Community Forum, Old Junior School, South View Road Sharrow.  Time: Wednesday January 19th, 26th, February 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd 2011 at 11.30-1.30. 

Eatwell Course: will provide information and support to anyone who is looking to improve their diet.  The course looks at what we should be including in our diet and will provide you with practical ways to achieve this.  It is ideal for anyone looking to lose some weight or anyone who wants to just find out a little bit more about the benefits of eating a balanced, healthy diet.  The course is completely free and is a great way to help you improve your diet.  Each session lasts about an hour with extra support and information available by appointment outside the session.  Contact Chris Hanson, ShipShape.  Place Sharrow Community Forum, Old Junior School, South View Road, Sharrow.  Time: Wednesday January 26th , Wednesday February 2nd,  9th, 16th , 23rd, and March 2nd between 2.00-3.00pm.
