As usual there are lots of events taking place at the school.

Thanks to more parent volunteers the Gardening Club is growing nicely. There are 3 raised beds and 2 baby baths full of veg and strawberries.  The nursery yard hanging baskets are flowering beautifully with bulbs planted in Autumn.  A wonderful parent has made and donated 3 fine large wooden troughs to put our tomato growbags in.

Each class and teacher will have a half term of five sessions in our local jewel: the Walled Garden, working alongside Naomi Brent and her team.

Naomi is helping the school with planting plans for new Foundation Stage yards and Gardening club will help with planting. How exciting! All the children continue to be inspirational in their enthusiasm for the Gardening.

The nursery and KS2 have new outdoor spaces, which the children are enjoying.

23rd June is the Summer Barbeque and Music Evening at the School. 5pm-8pm.  This promises to be a fantastic evening with many local talents, including school children, and tasty food. Tickets will be on sale in school nearer to the date: £2 adult, £1 child, £5 family.

After-school street dance and music production classes are starting in June.

A ‘Magic Breakfast’ project will be running at the school over the summer term, thanks to a free transition scheme.

The Y6 end of year prom is coming up at the end of July. This should be a wonderful and deserved celebration of the past years at Meersbrook Bank.

Over the summer the nursery rabbits will need to be looked after, so anyone willing to offer them a home, please speak to nursery staff.
