Meersbrook Wildlife Watch group raised over £500 with jumble and cakes in the Pavillion on Saturday morning May 14th.

The cake stall heaved with scrumptious biscuits, buns, tasty fruit pies, scones, parkin, flapjack, and fancy cupcakes. The bookstall had a selection fit for Charing Cross Road bookshop. Jumble flew in and out for the 2 hours that the sale was on. It was an excellent way to recycle….one person’s rubbish being another person’s treasure. The money raised will go towards this year’s camping trip.

The Wildlife Watch group meets once a month in the Pavillion. They are involved in activities such as bat watches, pond dipping, wildlife campaigns, environmental games, arts and crafts, woodland wanders and much more.
