Ivan Moore and Christine Ventour from dance and fitness company MoVe are set to introduce the first season of Zumba at the Heeley Institute. Weekly sessions will be offered on Wednesday evenings from 7.00pm to 8.00pm starting on 12th October.
What is Zumba?
Zumba fitness is a latin inspired dance exercise and fitness programme that combines dance-like movements with cardio, endurance and toning fitness, all set to the most exciting of latin rhythms. Zumba is the most popular fitness and exercise routine in the world, and many people are already enjoying the benefits of Zumba. But don’t worry if you are new to Zumba, or even to dance. All you need is enthusiasm and a sense of fun.
Our easy to learn routines are designed to tone your whole body: your legs, yo ur arms, and especially your tummy. People enjoy the various benefits of Zumba for a range of different reasons, but mainly because they find it is a fun way to develop fitness, lose weight and become better toned and more supple.
There are many other benefits of coming along to Zumba classes, but don’t just take our word for it, come along, join in, and find out for yourself. You won’t be disappointed, and you will participate in a fitness experience that will leave you wanting to come back again and again.
The sessions operate on a first come/ first served basis, but spaces are limited so do come early. Just wear lightweight, loose, comfortable clothing; and trainers are fine. You might also want to bring some water and a small towel!

Hello Christime
I would like to go to a class of Golden Zumba as I have found the general one a bit too much for me. A friend of mine has told me about the golden Zumba so I am eager to find out more. I live at Gleadless near the Indian Restaurant that used to be the Old Harrow. I am 59 and love to dance. I already attend Easy Dance at Woodseats and find it addictive. I found out I had breast cancer last June and had major surgery in July to get rid of it, going back to the gym is not at option at the moment, as I am going for a re-construction this year sometime. To come when I can is just what I need. Can you help please. e.mail smileylady2003@hotmail.com
Many thanks Carole
