NEW HEADTEACHER
The fantastic news that Meersbrook Bank School has a new Head Teacher; Rachel Edwards; is closely followed by the school receiving a ‘good’ at the recent Ofsted report.
CLIMBING WALL
The new traversing wall is so popular, each year has designated time slots. Next stage of the playground development isa colourful, mosaic creature sculpted in the ground!
DISCO SUCCESS
Our Valentine disco was a great success, thanks especially to amazing DJ Phil Charles and quiz maestro Hannah. David Harmer, poet and performer, helped pupils write inspirational poetry this term, and the theatre company Primary Colours performed a much talked about piece for KS2. The entire school were involved in Writing Day when clues were left around the school leading the children to Hansel and Gretel.
Dates for your diary:
John Kimmons, the magical ventriloquist, will be performing at the school on Friday 30th March.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support the school.
Friends of Meersbrook Bank School meeting: Tuesday 20th March 8pm, The White Lion, Chesterfield Road. After that we hope to use the school for meetings. New members more than welcome. Just come along or call Mette on 07917 190715.
