Sheffield Renewables is looking for a General Manager to deliver their major Community Share Offer. Starting in August 2012 (subject to final project agreements), initially for 3 months with a possible extension to one year. Salary £31,000 pro rata. Four days per week, based near Heeley City Farm.
Sheffield Renewables was established to develop, own and operate renewable energy projects in and around Sheffield, in a way that brings wider benefits. It is both a social enterprise and a community brought together by a shared concern about climate change, pride in the city and a belief in the strength of working together.
The General Manager will be responsible for overall financial management, day-to-day communications and the development of links and partnerships with other organisations. Initially the role will be primarily responsible for managing and delivering the Community Share Offer which has raised £65,000 to date.
