National Insect Week – ‘Lovely Bug Day’ on Heeley Millennium Park

Posted on June 27, 2012 by

It’s National Insect Week 25th June – 1st July and to celebrate, local children from Anns Grove Primary School will be spending a ‘Lovely Bug Day’ on Heeley Millennium Park working with a mini beast ‘expert’ to hunt down our smallest park residents.

There’s an abundance of wildlife living  in the park with literally hundreds of species to spot, so this will be a fantastic opportunity for children to learn more about insects and how to help them to thrive in their local park.

The event will be happening throughout the day on Thursday 28th June – for details of future activities on Heeley Millennium Park, contact (or 0114 2500613)
