For the second year in a row on the first Sunday in September Ash Tree Yard, Heeley became a mini festival with an outdoor cinema screening.
Pop-up community cinema, Magic Lantern Film Club, joined up with ReCycle Bikes to show 60s classic, Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid. The wild west theme was played out with a Shotgun Cycle Derby to keep everyone entertained, and there were ‘cowboy beans’ to fill bellies along with freshly pressed fruit juice from local food project, Abundance. The film started as the sun went down, and we followed the exploits of Butch and Sundance under the stars. It was a great atmosphere and a good get-together to end the summer.
