The colder months are approaching, so now is a good time to start thinking about how we will keep warm without spending more. It’s especially important for those more vulnerable to the cold weather, and those who may need extra support and information on staying warm, reducing bills and keeping healthy this winter.
In Heeley, help is available in the form of a Comic Relief-funded project called ‘Older, Wiser, Warmer’. The project is run by the South Yorkshire Energy Centre at Heeley City Farm and offers free information and advice to the over 60s on how to stay warm and save money.
Sessions are held at the Energy Centre, 25 Alexandra Road on Monday afternoons, 1.30pm – 3.00pm until the end of October. Come and join our group and learn how to keep your home warm and your energy bills low. To find out more, contact Shelly Davis on 0114 258 4574 or shelly.syec@heeleyfarm.org.uk
