PostOfficeSheffield Heeley MP, Meg Munn, has today welcomed plans to modernise Heeley Post Office on Gleadless Road.

The Post Office has confirmed that they will be changing the Heeley Post Office branch to one of their new-look branches. The development is part of a three-year investment and support programme, which will see around 6,000 branches convert to the new style branches.

Meg Munn MP said:

“I welcome the Post Office’s plans, which will see investment into the local branch at Heeley. The announcement means that customers will be able to continue to access the same products and services from Heeley Post Office. They will also benefit from a new-look Post Office with longer opening hours. These are vital services for many local residents and this commitment to Heeley is very welcome.”

Work on the refurbishment of Heeley Post Office is due to start on Monday 11th February 2013, and the new-look Post Office is expected to open on Thursday 21st February 2013.
