JOB VACANCY – Digital Media Centre Co-ordinator

We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative individual, with experience of the CDI sector to bring our centre to life. You will have excellent communication skills, be a natural host, able to support and nurture people to realise their talents and ideas.

Salary                    £19,656 pro rata (£15,725 p.a.)

Duration             Initially 1 year: Feb 2013 – Jan 2014

Hours                    30 hrs per week

The aim of our Digital Media Centre is to support the development of individual careers, new creative businesses, social enterprise and new cultural/creative products.

The centre will;

–   Create links for new and start up businesses into broader City Wide Enterprise support infra structure.

–   Develop a programme of support and events to engage entrepreneurs through the Digital Media Centre’s facilities. (for example; events, mentoring, work placements, apprenticeships and work experience)

–   Attract, support and inspire people to develop new skills in professional media/digital production and foster creative production.

–   Provide ready access to equipment and facilities that are not currently available to the community.

The Sheffield Community Network is funded by the European Regional Development Fund and brings together key local partners to deliver a programme of interventions and investment in infrastructure that creates a seedbed for community-based growth, enabling the creation of new businesses and jobs. Sheffield Community Network is supported financially by the European Union. The project has attracted £2.3 million investment from the European Regional Development Fund as part of Europe’s support for the region’s economic development through the 2007-2013 Yorkshire and Humber ERDF Programme.”
