An amazing opportunity to see four leading musicians playing music they love at The Heeley Institute on Saturday 16th March.
Dave Formula is best known as the man behind the keyboard sound that was so much a feature of the music of groundbreaking 80s band Magazine before moving on to create New Romantics Visage and later world music ensemble The Angel Brothers. However, less people remember that his first starring role was in the 60s with pop band St Louis Union with whom he appeared on Top Of The Pops.
It is in the 60s that his latest outing with The Finks find their roots. This amazing band, featuring Angel Brothers Dave and Keith alongside star bass player Andy Seward draw on influences from the beat era of Booker T and the MGs, The Meters, and Jimmy Smith.
So, an authentic dance band playing some of the hits of the era alongside original material that is right at home alongside those classic grooves. Bring your friends and join in the fun. The live music will be augmented by authentic DJ sets by members of the band. Tickets are £7 and are available from http://www.wegottickets.com/event/209816 or by calling 07835 966810,
Doors open at 7.30pm
