Local teacher, Jordanna Farrimond, currently runs Artists in the Making which delivers art and photography sessions to children and adults in a variety of settings. Artists in the Making was set up with a vision to promote the creativity of children in Sheffield through art and photography. The jam packed school curriculum today makes it difficult to create extended periods of time for art and creativity. Artists in the Making sessions allow children that time to really get their teeth into a project and explore their ideas.

DSC_0049 This summer, Artists in the Making is bringing photography and art sessions to children in the Heeley and Meersbrook area. The summer holiday club will be a mixture of photography and art activities including some old favourites that always prove popular and some brand new activities.

The club is for children aged eight to fourteen and it will be taking place at the Heeley Digital Media Centre- run by the Heeley Development Trust. This will give the children access to some very interesting digital equipment which may serve to enhance their photography! The digital media centre is located at the following address:

Ash Tree Yard
62 – 68 Thirlwell Road
Heeley
Sheffield
S8 9TF

The club is running from Monday 19th August- Friday 30th excluding weekends. There is an option to drop your child off earlier and later if necessary. You can book your child in for as many days as you like – the cost is £25 for the whole day from 9.30- 3.30pm

Please get in touch for a chat about the details and to find out more about what the sessions involve by calling Jordanna on 078999 57273, by emailing photographyandartforkids@gmail.com or by taking a look at www.artistsinthemaking.co.uk
