The Heeley Park has been shortlisted for a Lloyds Bank Community Fund Award after being nominated by former employee Andy Hudson.
Four third sector organisations from 352 communities across Great Britain will receive grants between £500-£3,000, depending on the results of a public vote which is open from September 2nd – 5pm on Friday, October 10th.
You can help Heeley Development Trust by casting a vote for the park at the branch of Lloyds on Abbeydale Road, by SMS (text ‘VOTE RPH’ to 61119), by tweeting ‘#COMMFUND RPH’ or at https://lly-cf.co.uk/RPH
The Heeley Park has also been named as one of the three charities featured in the September Waitrose Community Matters scheme, who will each receive a share of £1,000. The scheme sees customers issued with a green plastic token which can be placed in a charity box by the exit. The more tokens placed in the Heeley Park box the larger the share of the donation.
All funding received will be re-invested to support the staging of free events at the park.
