2016_Heeley_Festival_A4_Poster_MASTER_AW_01Heeley’s People’s Park will be hosting more food and drink stalls than ever before on Festival day, with the crowds able to sample delicious cuisine from an exciting range of street food traders.  Percy & Lily’s, Dim Sum Su, Pie-Eyed and The Nether Edge Pizza Company are all on board, along with burgers from Hot Spot and homemade Indian food.  Those with a sweeter tooth can enjoy all manner of cakes and confectionary from Festival favourites that include Cupcake Time, Miss Adu’s Kitchen and Granelli’s Ices, with artisan coffee, freshly squeezed juices and ice-cream to top it all off!

The Main Stage on the park will have performances from Gregory S Davies and Bongo & The Soul Jar amongst others plus Anns Grove and Newfield schools will be showcasing their amazing young people throughout the afternoon.

Strawberry cream teas will be available at Heeley Parish Church, while The People’s Pale and The People’s Triple Hop charity ales will be available at both the Sheaf View and Brothers Arms public houses, of which 20 pence per pint will be donated to the Heeley People’s Park fund.

Pride Martial Arts will be offering taster sessions and demonstrations, a Grow Wild funded art workshop will be available and Sheffield United Community Foundation will be bringing their speed gun challenge to Anns Grove School.  The school will be holding their first Summer Fayre on the day, which will include a wide range of car boot and second hand stalls, and more activities for families.  Further rides and fairground attractions can be found on Anns Road while there’ll be stalls, activities and live music at the Heeley City Farm.

Over at the Heeley Institute there will be an Adult Learning Zone throughout the Festival with taster sessions on Robotics for Beginners, Social Media, using a Tablet or an iPad and more! You can also find out about the wide range of adult learning classes that will be running from September ranging from Creative Digital Photography with a Smartphone to Art and Spanish
