This issue of the Voice is a ‘bumper’ 20 pages!
Its the first issue of 2010 and features plenty of great contributions from residents and organisations in the area.
Theres an update about the redevelopment of Anns Grove School, a review of the first Zero Carbon Cabaret (and details of the next!), an article about the refurb’ of the Heeley City Farm Café and an appeal for families from Heeley and Meersbrook to host children visiting from Chernobyl later this year.
This issue also features a centre page supplement which highlights the work of the Learning Champions and Informal Learning Advocates in Heeley. It includes details of a range of courses taking place locally, so if you have family or friends that might want to learn a bit more about using computers or develop their maths and english skills then please pass on the information.
If you want to get your hands dirty and fancy contributing to project that will transform part of Heeley Millenium Park, then come along the Community Orchard planting days taking place at the end of March (see front page for dates)
The next Voice is due out early June and will be the Festival issue. The Heeley Festival is taking place on Saturday 19th June and lots of people have booked their stalls already. If your planning on coming and want to have a stall then let us know asap by calling us at the Trust on 0114 2500613 or email info@heeleydevtrust.com and we will send you a form.
