Heeley Festival 2016

Big crowds are expected this Saturday for the 2016 Heeley Festival, which is taking place in the streets, buildings and open spaces at the heart of the community.

Chinese and Indian food will be available at the Heeley People’s Park alongside pizza, burgers and pies with artisan coffee, freshly squeezed juice and Granelli’s ice cream for dessert.  The park will also be hosting an array of arts and crafts stalls including Tipsy Towers, The Bindi People and the Mama Duck Company.

The Sheffield United Community Foundation will be bringing their speed gun challenge to the Anns Grove School Summer Fayre, Pride Martial Arts will be offering taster sessions and demonstrations while there’ll be stalls, activities and live music at the Heeley City Farm.

Strawberry cream teas will be available at the Heeley Parish Church, the Heeley Institute will be hosting an Adult Learning Zone and there’ll be live music at the White Lion on Chesterfield Road as well as on the main stage in the park, with appearances by Bongo & the Soul Jar and the Gregory S. Davies Band alongside performers from the Anns Grove and Newfield schools.
