Heeley Voice Issue 62

Heeley Voice Issue 62 Front Page1Here is Issue 62 of The Heeley Voice. It has a new look, is a different size, has a different (/old) name and has a few new features – we hope you like it!

It’s our biggest issue to date and as always includes plenty of local news and upcoming events. In the next few weeks there will be vintage markets, film screenings, theatre performances, live music events, fundraising bike rides, public meetings, heritage days and car boot sales – see below for more details.

This issue includes info about the changes planned for local roads with the introduction of 20mph speed limits and a new bus lane, news that local residents have concerns about the future of Meersbrook Hall and details about the refurb (and rename) of one the areas oldest pubs.

We also talk to author John Foster, artist Faunagraphic, metalworker Jim Stringer and musician Nicola Farnon about their work and connection with the local area.

The next Heeley Voice will be out early December – if you have things to include or you’d like to get involved with putting it together then let us know (voice@heeleydevtrust.com or 0114 2500613)
