Welcome to Issue 65 of The Heeley Voice.
The countdown to this year’s Heeley Festival has started and we feature a preview to the big day in this issue – see below for more details.
We also include interviews with local illustrator Steve Millington and musician Paul Littlewood plus news of exciting changes afoot on Chesterfield Road with the opening of a new record shop and bar following soon.
It is also with sadness that we share the passing of local historian and lifelong Heeleyite, Lilian Haywood, who died recently. Lilian was an incredibly active member of the Heeley community all her life and was involved in many community groups locally – she will be missed.
