Members of the Green Triangle would like to thank all those who took part in a new sunflower-growing project this year on Albert, Kent and Shirebrook Roads. The slideshow features just some of the ones that were planted and flowered. There were many others appearing throughout July, August, September, and still more into October. They have certainly added a cheerful splash of colour to the neighbourhood.
Green Triangle projects being planned for the autumn include ‘Green’ film screenings, and spring bulb planting. If you live in or around the area of the three streets that make up the ‘triangle’, you are welcome to get involved. There will be a meeting to discuss these projects, and other Green Triangle activities in Meersbrook Bowling & Social Club on Shirebook Road from 8.00pm on Thursday 21st October.
