The new tennis courts in Meersbrook Park were formally opened on the 10th of September by Councillor Cate McDonald.  Funds for the tennis courts were raised from the Big Lottery (community spaces fund), Sheffield Town Trust, Graves Charitable Trust, and Section 106 money.  Meersbrook Park Users Trust would like to thank Sheffield City Council for a fantastic partnership, especially the hard work of Development Officer, Moira Walker.  We would also like to thank those involved in all the fundraising events we have had to bring community awareness and money in for this project.  We have held 2 fun runs and 4 sports days over the past few years and the turn out has always been amazing.   We hope to continue Family Sports Days in Meersbrook Park using the new tennis facilities and welcome anyone who wants to be involved.  Please contact us at info@meersbrook.org.uk  or Liz Martinez 07956 383765
