Alexandra Road Community Garden group will be holding an Open Day and Table Top Sale on Sunday 16th September from 11am to about 3pm
Anyone local can join in the table top sale (a bit like a car boot sale, without the cars), just bring things to sell and something to put it on (not necessarily a table – a blanket will do). There is no charge for a pitch, and you can keep anything you make or donate some of it to the Garden if you wish (but no pressure to do so!)
The group are looking for new members and will be displaying info and pictures of the Garden – several of the existing members will be on hand to talk to locals and give any information required.
If it is a sunny day, bring a picnic!
Alexandra Road Community Garden Group is an informal group of local residents who use and/or appreciate the community garden space on Alexandra Road (on the left-hand side, up near the top of the hill walking away from Heeley City farm). They meet monthly (ish) – usually the first Sunday of the month, weather permitting

Just a note that if it is really rubbish weather we shall postpone the table top until the following Sunday (23rd). Fingers crossed for a sunny day though.
Also, for all you crafty people of Heeley, I have 80+ craft magazines (Sew Hip, Crafts Beautiful, Simply Knitting, Inspirations etc.) I shall be selling at 10p each.

I am hopefully going to be bringing my daughters clothes and toys she’s grown out of down to sell 🙂 they are from birth upto 6 months and possibly some upto 9 months.

We said 11 a.m. – 3.00 p.m. (a far more civilized time than boot sales that start at 6 a.m.) so it runs at the same time as the Autumn Show down at Heeley City Farm . Just come along on the day – members of the Garden Group will be there (weather permitting) 10.30 a.m. onwards.
